The two artists were key pop culture figures in President Barack Obama's run for a second term. Jay-Z performed on the Obama campaign trail, while Beyoncé sang at his second inauguration.

"For too long we were excluded from the American dream, and now we have a chance to be a part of that American dream," Jay-Z said on stage in 2012 during an Obama rally.

Now, it seems Jay-Z is backing the Clinton campaign, which snagged Ohio's own LeBron James as as another high-profile supporter.

Details of Jay-Z's performance have not been released, but Mashablehas reached out to a representative for confirmation and will update this post with new information accordingly.
